When the day comes...

It's been a while since I blog...
I am anticipating on what's gonna happen tomorrow. It's the monthly meeting, and I have a strong feeling they will announce who i'll be reporting to -.-|| and my job function.

After almost a year in this position, i'll be relocated, permanently i think.
Hehe..nervous la. A little bit excited as well. Suddenly i feel my term is erm..'renewed'. It's like instead of a almost one year old employee, i'm starting all over again. So can i consider myself new? haha...
I just hope that everything will go well in all and every aspects.
I appreciate very much the job i was given before this coz i have a very nice boss who is patient. :)
Well, i'll be moving on...i'll still see all of them much often, which is good.

Earth Hour 2009 - What Will You Be Doing?

According to the Earth Hour official website, they gave some suggestions...

Here are 10 different ways to spend Earth Hour and reduce your carbon footprint:

1. Attend a local Earth Hour event or organise your own by throwing an Earth Hour street party with your neighbours
2. Gather family & friends for a night picnic in your local park and look at the stars
3. Enjoy a family dinner by candlelight
4. Organise a treasure hunt in the dark
5. Take the dog for a night walk
6. Have a candle-lit bath
7. Sit in the dark and share stories
8. Organise a family night playing board games
9. Share a romantic night in with your loved one
10. Upload your ‘on the night’ photos and videos to flickr and YouTube respectively, and then add them to the Earth Hour flickr group and the global YouTube Group.

Of all the suggestions, point 1, 2, 4, 5 are out due to the rain. Point 6, it's kinda cooling from the rain I think a bath not so practical...
No 3, 7, 8, 9, 10 sounds ok and not too bad.
Haha no main lights also got other sources of lights like from the PC, tv and hp...
Since I live at my house no.7, I will most likely to be doing no. 7. :P

p/s: well, i didn't really perform no.7 but i sort of cleaned my pc while watching tv :D

March

At the end of this week, I feel much relieved after completing my training. I sense that I have achieved something, but knowing it's very little as compared to the unlimited knowledge one can get if one were to proceed further. I don't know if there will be any continuation of this in future, but I hope they do. However, I realised that in my job, specifically on my part, does not require to apply what I have learnt over the week. But I am really glad that I was 'sent' over to learn as a 'representative' of my group which consists of 8 people. I am so thankful for that, for I know this is only a small beginning but something really fruitful will come out the other end. It just takes time. How long I don't know, but it takes a whole lot of patience.

The next few weeks will be busy as I will be doing some measurements on a new device. It's going to be tough... I've accumulated many pimples over the past few weeks. :( I have a pimple ridden face. blame it on the pressure, erm or rather me myself.

On the other note, Jocelynn (my friend's daughter) was born on the 2nd of March. haha I shall keep tabs on these kinda dates coz more and more birthdays will be celebrated here and there. LOL

Chinese Niu Year

This year is the Ox year, which is my zodiac.
I plan to attend the Penang State CNY celebrations. I was there last year (Year of the Rat).
That time, it was before the March general election and the VIPs attended were Gerakan members. This year, I will be seeing PKR members instead. :p
Anyway, I look forward to see the Ox sculpture which will displayed at Khoo Kongsi. I saw in the papers that it only weighed 1 kg but since it's bulky; 3 people are needed to move it.
"Goo ni" must take Ox pictures!

2009

I felt the year 2008 passed by very quickly but with many events happening in my life.
It was the year of my final semester, busy rushing thru thesis, had my final exam. Also, had my convocation. Attended job interview and landed my first job.
In between, had 3 beautiful niece and nephews being welcomed to this world. Attended my best friend's wedding. (and oh she's also expecting a baby this year). I think in the next few years, I'll be attending more and more friends and colleagues weddings!
As for holidays, I only went to KL. I just realised I was so busy in 2008 that I've not gone anywhere. So I just went to KL for 3 days to shop as it was the year end sales. But I found that after Xmas, not many shooping malls extend their mega sales till new year.
I really do hope Year 2009 will have many exciting things in store. The economy is still going to be that bad, but in the midst of this gloomy times, I hope my job is not doomed as well. :p
Back to work on Monday. Ahh...
Chinese New Year is just around the corner but the 'heat' is not felt. Signs of times are bad.
Nevertheless, collect angpows whilst I'm still single or should I say single and available? kekeke
Besides the angpow content, I also keep the red packets coz every year they come in different designs. One day I should keep them just like my stamp collections and first day covers coz it's now all over the place. And oh..there might be some cash hiding in those angpow as well. (I did not clear some of em' for the past years) ;p

My Christmas Wish List

For this year's Christmas, I hope to get a watch. :)
My budget is not more than RM250. Well, if it's a present of course I don't mind the price tag. lol
The thing is, I'm going to sponsor myself so I better choose one I really like and kind to my pocket.
I know there are many choices with that budget but it seems that there are too many and I can't make up my mind. If I were to browse through the internet like the ones I picked below, I can narrow down my choices. (Coz I read those description and details of the watches). However, if I were to browse them in shops which are aplenty with discounts and wide range of choices, I will have difficulty picking the ultimate one. Watches on display in shops are soo attractive and many!

Casio's range seems affordable. I like this one:

Casio Women's (August 2008 Model) #LDF-31-7A Watch

The one a bit out of my budget but I like even more is the DKNY.
Both watches are for different occasions, one more casual, the other more formal/elegant looking. Buy both?? Arghhh...no. Must choose one only. One...

DKNY Women's Steel Bracelet Band #NY4270 Watch

tasks

I've been feeling down... It's the urgent and neverending things that keep coming in that made me busy. Well, being busy is better than having nothing to do.
Being busy in a short period of time is good. But I feel that all these stuff is just going to be coming in and in. I have too many things stuffed in and no time to digest. Having said that... i think i'm just tired.
I need a break from this routine and some fun. :) Life is precious. Live it to the fullest.
